Thanks to the 24 people that showed up on a beautiful Sunday afternoon for the big push to get the courts open.  All of the windscreens are up and most of the lines are down, which is amazing.

At 1pm on Sunday, April 14th, we will gather a Waveland Triangle to begin preparing the court for play.  All are welcome to come and lend a hand.  Let us know you are coming or just show up.  There's plenty to do!

With any luck, the weather will be good in April and we can start preparing the court for the 2024 season.  Our goal will be to have the nets up by May 1st if the weather cooperates.

Minnehaha Creek

Minnehaha Creek Courts Demolished

The MPRB removed the existing courts along the Minnehaha Creek location clearing the way for new construction.  Grass will be planted to make the site more attractive while we raise the necessary funds to build the new courts.

MPRB to Demolish Existing Minnehaha Creek Courts

With heavy equipment in the area, the MPRB is slated to demolish the existing 32nd Ave Courts and prepare the site for construction of the new clay courts.  The demolition will be completed by the end of April.

USTA Northern Awards 10K Matching Grant

MPRB & MCCC Sign MOU

The Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board voted unanimously to approve Resolution 2024-20, establishing a Memo of Understanding with MCCC "for collaborative implementation of clay tennis courts at east 46th street and 32nd avenue in Minneapolis".
