Hennepin County Board Considers Creekside Funding: Awards Announced in December 2025
Tuesday, September 30, 2025
The Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board submitted an application to the Hennepin County Board requesting $250,000 to help fund Creekside through the Hennepin County Youth Activities Grant. If we secure this funding, we can build next summer. Please talk to your Hennepin County Board member about how wonderful this project is!

Park Board Chooses Creekside for Hennepin County Grant Application

The Minneapolis Parks and Recreation Board unanimously approved Resolution 2025-169, clearing the way for MPRB staff to apply for a Hennepin County Youth Activities Grant for Creekside. Minneapolis Community Clay Courts, with the generous help of the USTA Northern and USTA National has raised $165,000, If we get this grant, we can build Creekside next summer!
We are still seeking donations for two more courts at Creekside.
